WINE TUTOR AND EDUCATOR

Are you taking a wine course and feeling you need a helping hand? With many years’ experience teaching at the Wine & Spirit Education Trust School in London and at Plumpton College in Sussex, the UK’s only wine university, I’m uniquely placed to provide extra tuition on the full range of wine courses.

Whether it’s getting to grips with theory or getting that all-important tasting practice, I can provide one-on-one or small group sessions. Whilst these things are always more fun in person, I have plenty of experience of teaching online too so I can provide tutoring to fit in with your lifestyle.

Staff Training

Whether you run a hospitality venue or a shop, ensuring your staff have a suitable level of wine knowledge, especially when it comes to what you offer, is essential to ensuring great customer experiences. And that, of course, leads to repeat, loyal custom and great reviews.

I can provide bespoke training for your team, delivering the right level of training for your business, including what you sell, how best to sell it and, in hospitality, how to serve it.

Wine Education

I’m also available to teach either formal courses such as WSET (all levels) or more informal ones. If you run a wine school and need help with a course, specific topics or a one-off session, please get in touch.

I’m a Certified Port Educator, so port and other fortified wines are a speciality, as are the rest of Portugal, Alsace, Germany and Austria, but I’ve turned my hand to most regions over the years.

I particularly have a fascination for discovering less well-known wine regions, grape varieties and styles and so if you have a tricky gap to fill, I’m the person for you!
